Hyeun-Tae Cho (조현태) – M.S.

Hyeun-Tae Cho received the B.S degree in ECE in 2016 and M.S. degree in ECE in 2018 from the Electrical and Computer Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). His main research interests are power factor correction (PFC) converter design and analysis. His extra activities are listening to music and E-sports.

Prof. Katherine Kim visited the Power Electronics Lab at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (國立臺灣科技大學) in Taipei, Taiwan, and also gave a talk on “Photovoltaic Power Converters for Smart Grid Capability” at the PELS/IAS/IES Taipei Joint Symposium on August 10, 2016. Prof. Katherine Kim attended the Applied Power Electronics Conference 2016 in Long Beach, CA, USA in March 2016.

Prof. Kim and Prof. Jeehoon Jung (UNIST, Electrical and Computer Engineering) gave a Professional Education Seminar on “Photovoltaic Modeling and Why it Matters for Power Electronics.”

At the IEEE PELS Women in Engineering breakfast, Prof. Katherine Kim gave a career advice talk entitled “Impedance Matching your Power Electronics Career” and served as a Session Chair for the “Renewable Energy Systems” technical session.

Kyoungjun Kwon (권경준) – M.S.

Kyoungjun Kwon received the Bachelor of Science degree from Pusan National University in 2016. He majored in electrical engineering. He received the Masters of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in February 2018. He is currently an Engineer at LG in Korea. His research interests are DC-DC converters and inverters for photovoltaic Applications.
